European Mobility Week 2013

The Mobility Group near the City Hall of Bucharest will present the program of events that will take place in the metropolitan area of Bucharest, on the occasion of the European Mobility Week.
European Mobility Week runs from September 16-22, 2013 and is a campaign aimed at raising people's awareness, so that they can use public transport, bicycle, walking, to the detriment of personal cars. The campaign also encourages European cities to promote these modes of transport and to invest in regional infrastructure.

The main concern of the European Mobility Week campaign is to make people more aware of the need to act against the pollution caused by the increase of motorized traffic in the urban environment. It is not just about combating atmospheric or noise pollution, but also about improving the quality of life in the city.
The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant will participate in this campaign with two important events: the opening of the exhibition Traditional Transport in Romania, which will take place on Thursday, September 19, at 18.00, and with a lecture session that will take place on Saturday, September 21, at 11.30. Both events will take place at the Horia Bernea Studio.
European Mobility Week is an event organized in partnership with Bucharest City Hall, the Working Group for the implementation of the integrated mobility plan in Bucharest and its regional area of influence in transport, Metropolitan Club, R.A.T.B. and the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
