The Metropolitan Library of Bucharest will organize a unique event called "Biblio City", to add a splash of art, history and reading to the capital's festive atmosphere.

The event will take place from September 15-24 and will include a diverse range of cultural events that will take place at our branch offices and other public spaces.
For 10 days, the public will be invited to attractive cultural shows inspired by books and run in the middle of them, wishing to increase the interest of the inhabitants of the city for reading and for the various programs that the Metropolitan Library makes available to Bucharest.


The events will be registered in the following eight sections:
BiblioCafe - public dialogues with cultural personalities;
BiblioScena - mini-theater shows in the library, in the workshop room of the independent company Unteatru and in a bus provided by RATB which will be transformed into a four-wheeled stage. The repertoire of the performances will include pieces by Caragiale, Sorescu and Baiesu;
BiblioCinema - Under the motto "Books that were born films", film screenings will take place at the Library's headquarters and in branches, as well as at the Cinemateca Union.

BiblioScriptum
- book launches, presentations of editorial collections, exhibitions of manuscripts of important writers;

BiblioAtelier
- various workshops (plastic arts, music, literature, architecture, multimedia, puppet theater, gastronomy, etc.);

BiblioJunior
- cultural animation programs for children, carried out in partnership with associations and foundations of profile;
BiblioTour - cultural tourism programs in Bucharest, including cycling-tourist routes with cultural themes and book launches in the tourism field. On September 22, the Bucharest Tour Day (Bucharest Tour Day) will be launched, during which 10 guided pedestrian routes will be promoted.
BiblioStreet - street events for promoting the youth programs of the Bucharest Metropolitan Library, through info-pavilions and shows of urban culture in the Youth Park.
