The Calea Victoriei Foundation invites children from Friday, September 27, at 6.30 pm, to the Game of the Color Workshop, supported by the plastic artist Maria Balan.

Any meeting with the children is under the sign of the game. We play with pencils, watercolors, tempera, plasticine, clay and paper, trying to see what is with them and find a meaning. We discover together the point, the line, the stain. All these elements lead us to another important aspect in the plastic arts: form. We will see that light can exert some changes on the form and how we can perceive the form through shadow and light.
But for this we have to make the leap from the sheet directly to the clay, with which we will create real objects. After we break down and recompose the light, we will be in front of an unlimited range of shades, tones, contrasts or intensities to play with.
We intend then to take a walk in the park, where we will understand how our eye perceives things in perspective. It would not hurt to pay a visit to the museum, where we will look more closely at the works of art.
And here we are with the learned ABC and get ready to talk about composition and see why it is important, whether we build it freely or rigorously.
The theme of the workshops is the following:
1. Point, line, blemish and types of surfaces
2. Modeling in clay
3. Monochrome and clearly the dark
4. Color (color circle) and collage
5. Closed or open composition, static or dynamic and abstract color composition (from indefinite forms)
6. Exercise of creativity consisting in the accomplishment of a work that starts from some given words
7. We are learning something about geometrical bodies / drawing after nature
8. Exit the workshop (park or museum). This meeting will take place on Saturday, in the morning and will be agreed with the parents.
9. Exercise of creativity and attention (The exercise consists of making a work that starts from a sheet of paper that is attached to a part of a work of the great masters. The children will continue the drawing in harmony with the piece of work given. )
10. We learn to draw the human body. Composition with characters
Finally, an exhibition with the best works will be organized at the foundation's headquarters.
