Walt Disney EMEA has announced the launch of Disney Junior, a new platform for children between the ages of 2 and 7 and their families, available in Romania from June 1, 2011, in the form of a block of programs.
The launch of Disney Junior is the next step in the strategy for preschoolers. Building on the success of the Playhouse Disney channel, the new Disney Junior channel will replace the Disney Playhouse and expand its current audience to include children ages 2-7.
Disney Junior will broadcast content daily, will have an integrated website, VOD (video on demand), mobile and paid download platforms.
Continuing the success of the local production of the Jungle Moto-animals, the grid transmitted by Disney Junior will be supplemented with local productions and formats located on multiple platforms.
Moto-animals, the second season
The second season of the series nominated for BAFTA1 awards, Moto-animals in the jungle, will debut in the Disney Junior program grid. Season II includes 26 new colorful, interactive episodes that will be broadcast on Disney Junior platforms in EMEA in 2011 and in Romania on June 1, 2011.
