Donuts with cheese and honey

Cheese and honey donuts are a delicious and aromatic dessert, with which you can spoil your family at any time, as it is prepared quickly and easily!

250 g flour

450 g cream cheese

4 eggs

6 teaspoons cinnamon

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons lemon liqueur

peel and zest from 1/2 lemon

8 tablespoons honey

Method of preparation

Rub cheese with sugar and lemon peel with a mixer. Then add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, lemon liqueur and, in turn, eggs. At the end, incorporate the flour gradually. Put a pan of oil on the heat and when the oil is very hot, add the donuts with a spoon.

Allow to fry for 3-4 minutes, on each side, until browned. Remove them on a paper towel to remove excess fat. Meanwhile, mix the honey with the lemon juice over the heat, until a syrup is formed. Soak the donuts in the syrup and then place them on a platter. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon on top of them.
