Sarah Hyland ("Modern Family") and Matt Prokop ("Music High School 3: Year of Graduation") are the stars of the new original Disney Channel-produced movie "The Lovely Tocilar", a story about maturity and popularity, which premieres on February 11, 2012, at 9:30 on the Disney Channel.
The story is set in the center of her delighted 16-year-old teenager, Dylan Shoenfield, the most popular student of the year at Woodlands Academy, whose sole purpose in life is to be crowned Queen at the Spring Ball - the highest degree of popularity. .
When Dylan accidentally escapes his expensive and elegant bag in the mall's fountain, the movie's passionate nerd, Josh Rosen, jumps into the water to retrieve it. Although Dylan wouldn't normally interact with someone like Josh, she rewards him for being the subject of the documentary he prepares for a high school contest.
Following the advice of his teacher to tackle a difficult subject, the young aspiring director aims to make a film about Dylan's life, a documentary about how to be popular and participate in the competition for the Queen of the Ball. While Dylan hopes the movie will help her get her hands on the crown, Josh wants to win the big prize - a scholarship to a Hollywood movie camp and prepares an incendiary scenario about the high school social hierarchy.
After the camera starts filming, Dylan slowly gives up her shiny facade and shows her true personality. As Josh gets to know the real Dylan, he understands that his character has more qualities than he originally thought.
Inspired by a maturing novel written by Robin Palmer, the script for the film was signed by Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy and was directed by Jeffrey Hornaday (choreographer from "A Chorus Line," "Flashdance").
